UNIVERSITY
TUITION FEES | Sheffield Hallam University Tuition
fees for 2012 entry: £8,500 What
they say: "The
new fee will compensate for the Government's 80 per cent cut in our teaching grant
and the significant cuts in capital funding. Like all universities, we have carefully
considered our fee, and have set it at a level that will deliver a high quality
education and allow us to invest for the future. We
will invest £20m over three years, allowing us to continue to offer an outstanding
experience that puts the student at the heart of everything we do. This will be
focussed on student recruitment and retention, widening access and teaching and
learning support, and includes £9m per annum in fee waivers and bursaries by 2015.
We will invest in more high quality teaching and facilities and to further boost
graduate employment. We
will do this through a range of initiatives including investing in academic staff
and ensuring that we offer excellent personal support, including a customised
employability package for all students." Source:

Information correct as
of February 2012. Please note this page focuses on the new tuition fees system
payable by UK (Home) and EU students on a full-time undergraduate degree course
in England. The system for international students has not changed radically and,
therefore, annual fees for international students are likely to remain unchanged
and higher than those stated on this page.
