University has announced its proposals for £8,500 tuition fees along with a significant
£14.5m per year student support package.
This will apply to new full time home and EU students in 2012/13.
As a research-engaged professional university, this level of fee will help to
ensure that Northumbria can continue to provide its students with high quality
teaching, excellent facilities and strong links to employers. Building
on the £18m that we are investing in recruiting additional academic staff, the
University will continue to strengthen its academic staff base in order to improve
the staff student ratio and to ensure the delivery of teaching informed by internationally
