TUITION FEES | Durham University Tuition
fees for 2012 entry: £9,000 What
they say: "Durham
has announced plans to charge a headline fee of £9,000 per year to undergraduates
from 2012. The decision was reached following detailed evaluation of both the
costs and the value of a Durham education which offers both research-led education,
and personal and social development through a close-knit community of departments
and colleges. The
new tuition fees will only apply to new home/EU undergraduate students registering
in 2012, and will not apply to continuing students, students progressing from
the foundation programme to year one of their degree, or students transferring
from another institution at the end of their first year to enter Durham University
in 2012. Students who withdraw during their first year of study in academic year
2011/12 and reapply to Durham University for 2012 entry, or who wish to change
their mode of study (full-time or part-time) when they transfer, will be classed
a new entrant and liable for the new 2012 fee." Source:

Information correct as
of February 2012. Please note this page focuses on the new tuition fees system
payable by UK (Home) and EU students on a full-time undergraduate degree course
in England. The system for international students has not changed radically and,
therefore, annual fees for international students are likely to remain unchanged
and higher than those stated on this page.
